Recording Session Day 2

The recording continued today, and it looks like all went well. I know Jeremy is very excited about how the final product is going to turn out; he thinks it could possibly be the best cd ever!

My Sweet Jeremy doing what he does best, playing music!

Wayne and his mandolin....two things that go great together!

Matt, one our dearest friends from home; Dylan, one of Jeremy's partners in crime on the road.

Cool shot of Joe playing the piano.

Brian and Zac-Jeremy's other partners in crime on the road

Jeremy and Brandon--there's way too much brain power sitting on that couch!

Could it be that they're all singing???

Despite all the craziness, Ryan got them to stand still for a picture.

I Love this picture! Very funny!

Drum stick broke, so that's a wrap!

Not everyone was pictured since everyone came and went at different times (I will post more pictures as I get them), but thank you to everyone that gave of their time to make this happen. I pray that the Lord blesses each of you immensely!

Thank you to Ryan Taylor for taking these pictures; he's not just a great photographer; he's also a great person to know!

Recording Session Day One

Today is day one of the recording session for our cd. After months of planning and much prayer, it's awesome to see the cd start to take shape, and it is made possible by some wonderfully talented musicians that we call friends. To quote my husband, "The session is going great. We are moving along at a good pace, having fun and making some amazing music."

'Come let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.' Psalm 95:1-2

Do People Still Say Shout Out?

On the radio today, people were calling in giving "shout outs" to the person in their lives that has been there for them, provided for them, etc. Although I love listening to the radio, I do not call into the radio. There were a lot of people that ran through my mind as I listened. Here are the "shout outs" that I would have given:
*Our family--they have opened their arms and hearts in anticipation for the newest family member, the child that we anxiously wait for.
*Our church family--they are walking beside us, uplifting and encouraging the whole way.
*Our friends--we are blessed with the very best of friends; they give of their time and energy to help make this happen.
*Stephanie--she is the perfect person to guide us--patient, knowledgeable, compassionate.
*Prayer warriors--I know that whatever concern I tell them is brought before the Father.
*Dr. B--she is the best doctor for all things animal.
*Our TN parents, Hope and Chip--they have adopted us as their own, loving and supporting us all the way.
*Sunday School class--these are people that you can cry in front of and they cry w/ you, a wonderful group to belong to.

God has richly blessed us and given us many people to help us answer this call that's been placed on our lives. We love each and everyone of you!

Push the Record Button

Next week, recording will start for our CD, and I am so excited! Jeremy has worked so hard preparing for recording that I can't wait to see how it turns out. We are so thankful to have such amazing people to call friends who are giving of their time to record some of our very favorite hymns. I'll keep you all posted next week on the recording sessions; I'm sure they'll be filled with fun times :0).

Also, the owner at Salsarita's in Murfreesboro has agreed to let us have a fundraiser night. There are still a few details to work out, but it is tentatively scheduled for February 11th. We need as many people as possible to come, so spread the word and make plans to attend.

"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art...It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival." C.S. Lewis

My Own Little World: Population Me?

Christmas and the holiday season is over, and life is returning to normal and the usual routine--work, home, sleep, repeat. In "sarah-land" I love routine and the normalcy of life, but do I allow my routine and the things that I have on my daily agenda to cause me to miss opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus?
Check out Matthew West's song "My Own Little World." It is a beautiful song that will convict and bless your heart at the same time.

"Start breaking my heart for what breaks Yours
give me open hands and open doors
put Your light in my eyes and let me see
that my own little world is not about me" (Matthew West)

Fast-Forward Button Anyone?

After two weeks of food, family, and chaos, we are back in Tennessee. It seems to have been a great time had by all! Throughout the holidays, I found myself wondering what our family would look like next Christmas...part of me wishes there was a fast-forward button that would allow me a sneak peek...the other part of me wishes for a pause button that would make me slow down and savor the journey that God has us on...

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
