A Defining Moment

"Do you remember that moment? The one that defined your future? The one that showed a glimmer of your purpose?" This is from a sermon, by Dr. Jack Graham, that I heard on the radio yesterday, and it has been on my heart since. It took me back to the Sunday that I heard God calling me into the fields of the fatherless. My purpose and direction was forever changed that day, and for that I am truly thankful.

Making Plans for Yard Sale Part 2

Today was not great weather for a yard sale. We had some customers, but I think the cold, rainy day kept most people inside. So, we're going to have it again next weekend--same time and place. A HUGE thank you to all of our friends and church family that donated their stuff and came to shop today! We are blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. "The Lord is near to those who call on Him-to all who call on Him in truth; He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him, He hears their cry and saves them." Psalm 145:18-19

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

The light at the end of the tunnel is growing brighter....This past week was exciting; not only did we see our nearly complete home study report (the only part we're missing is the background check from Louisiana), but we met with Cindy to discuss the process of adopting from Russia.
I see the light at the end of the tunnel more clearly now than ever before, but it takes money to move toward it. This Saturday is the yard sale. Please, pray for a successful day! Also, will you join with me in asking God to provide us with the money that it takes to complete this adoption?

Yard Sale--April 21st

The next couple of weeks are going to be busy with more than just the usual, and I must say that I'm looking forward to it. We have a meeting Wednesday at Heaven Sent with Cindy to discuss the dossier process. The dossier is the official paperwork that you send to the country from which you're adopting. I'm looking forward to learning about the next step in this journey!

We will also be busy getting ready for the yard sale. Hope and I have nailed down the details of the when and where. The yard sale will be at Hope's house (8650 Cainsville Pike, Lascassas) on April 21st from 7 am to 2 pm. Make plans to come see us and shop, shop, shop!
